December 6th, 2021. Today is a week without Murphy. I started this blog to help other dog owners, and just because Murphy is gone, does not mean his journey cannot help other dogs.
I am not ready to write about how his life ended. My focus right now is the paperwork of the loss. I wrote thank you notes to every person I could think of. A thank you for loving him text. Murphy was lucky enough to have other loves in his life besides us. I wanted to thank them on behalf of Murphy for loving him.
Friends dropped off smoothies, flowers, cards and sent pictures. All of it helped.
Looking at old pictures of Murphy made me realize how much weight he had lost in his final months. I wonder how much longer he was hurting that we realized.
